Valentines Day Lunch at Chef Daniel's Kitchen

Hello everyone. So sorry for the MIA. I was SUPER busy with CNY preparation, CNY(itself) and my new job.
Yes, i have lefted that stupid company. Congrats to me, ok?

Anyway, i thought that there will not be any Valentine's Day celebration this year as it coincides with CNY first day.

But nevertheless, Bee still remember to bring me out for a lunch and movie date.

I appreciate that a lot. :)

We went to Iluma, the new shopping mall opposite Bugis Junction.

The reason why we went there is because of Chef Daniel's Kitchen.
Chef Daniel's Kitchen is started by Chef Daniel Koh.

Many of us had seen Chef Daniel Koh on television(mainly Channel 8) and we all know that he is the Executive Chef for Holiday Inn Singapore.

Bee and I are actually quite curious about this restaurant and of course, the FOOD.
So, we decided that we should try it, and there we go!

Chef Daniel's Kitchen is located at Iluma Shopping Mall(Bugis) level 7.

The restaurant is surround by a lush of greens and it is very windy there.
(Not enough to fly a kite thou)

The main restaurant and the kitchen is situated at different spots.

I think this is to ensure that the air-con in the restaurant will not have the food smell.

Leaving customers going out smelling fresh and stomach filled. :)

The kitchen is very bright and transparent.

You can see many chefs with tall hats working busily.
I wonder if they are Chef Daniel's disciple? :D

We could not decide on what to order as most of the dishes in the menu looks good.

We were expecting the menu to be short and concentration should be on the specialties.
Just like what Bee and I had in Warrington.

Finally decided.
We ordered sashimi, tempura, soup and main course.
A mixture of Chopsticks, Soup Spoon, Fork and Knife! Damn Fusion.

Home-made Ice Lemon Tea(me) and Coke(Bee)
The Ice Lemon Tea cost $5 per glass. Very expensive but taste good.

One sip and you'll know that they use very good tea leaves.
The drink is smooth and fragrant. :)

One Foccacia bread(each) to start off the meal.
The complimentry focaccia bread is served warm.
Light crisp on the outside but inside is soft and smooth.
Definitely deserves a second helping. :D

Sashimi: Capacio
Sliced scallops with special sauce and big orange roes.

The combination of the special sauce with thinly sliced scallops and big orange roes:
One word to describe, Perfecto.

It is written on the menu that the sashimi(s) are freshly imported from Japan.
Air flown some more ok! :D
I can easily finish one plate by myself. *Slurps*!

Tempura: Prawns, Shitake Mushrooms and Peppermint Leaf.

My comments:
Prawns are extremely fresh.
Mushroom is big and crunchy
Peppermint leaf is very well done. But they only give one piece. :(

Cream of Mushroom Soup
Topped with Cabbage, Croutons and sliced mushrooms.

Suppose to be difficult to cook and Bee wanted to test the Chef's standard.
His comments?

Very Good. The standard is pretty similar to the ones we had in warrington.

Mixed Veggies that comes with his Main Course.

Our Verdict:
Food - 8/10

Service - 6.5/10

Ambience - 8/10
Price - Reasonablely Priced

Bill Size: $100 for this meal.

We highly recommend Chef Daniel's Kitchen to people who appreciates Good Food.

Tortoise Kueh aka Ang Ku Kueh

Recently, i discovered a new snack for my tea break and that is... ... Ang Ku Kueh(aka AKK). I have re-named it as Tortoise Kueh because the shape of it looks like a tortoise shell. Yeah yeah. I have walked past this shop SEVERAL times and heard a lot of good raves about this shop. But i did not have the courage to try. Because when i was young, my parents ever fed me with some lousy Ang Ku Kueh and therefore, i had bad experience about it.

Then one fine day, we(colleagues and me) walked past the shop again. This time round, i paid more attention to what was written on the menu card.

WOOH.

They have about 8 different AKK flavours. From the usual sweet bean paste and peanut to the more exotic ones like CHAMPEDAK! Oh my god, i love champedak. And hell, it was Champedek that gave me the courage to try again! My colleague bought one piece of the sweet bean paste AKK while i bought one piece of the Champedak one. Wanted to try Yam as well but it was out of stock!! According to the guy, Yam is the most hot selling flavour there.

Went back to office and the first time i did was to try the AKK. Tell you, itis damn fucking yummy! :) Never regret trying and i'll definite go back for more!

I went back the next day(earlier) to get the Yam flavour. DAMN GOOD LOR!

I copied this phrase/status from my friend's Facebook. I am not really close to her but each time we get to talk(phone/meet up), she will tell me somethings about her life. I know who she is referring to and my impression of this man has gone straight down to the drain. *errrk*

Let's say if.....

1. Your man(BF/Hus) dates another woman while dating you AND continues to contact(SMS/Call/Meet up) the other woman after marriage(ROM in this case).

2. you are shouldering your man's commitments such as mobile phone bill(s?), car loanS, room rental and other loans... All above mentioned are under your name.

3. ROM for the sake of using your OA to service HDB housing loan installments and use you for sex.

4. Your man is so selfish that he is not willing to sign any loans under his name and even use your own family member's(sister/bro/parents) name as gaurantor to get loan.

Menya Shinchan Japanese Noodle Restaurant

We visited this restaurant on 27th December 2009 because my husband was craving for Shio Ramen. Shio is a kind of salted soup. After Waraku took it off their menu, he had been thinking of it day and night... So, with Mr Onuma's recommendation, we set off for Menya Shinchan!

But actually, to tell the truth... We were heading to Ippudo Singapore at Mandarin Gallery. I was reading the reviews in the car(yes, with the help of my 32gb "Ipod"). Majority of the feedbacks were not encouraging. We hesitated and hubby asked me for suggestions(he was driving slower and slower). I suggested Menya Shinchan and with some positive reviews from the net, we headed there immediately!!!(HUNGRY!!)

Reached there around 1pm. The restaurant is situated at one corner of Robertson Quay(not facing the river). It is near a Taiwan-Jap cuisine place. The shop itself is not very big and upon arrival, the waitresses greeted us warmly. We were ushered to a table near the cashier counter. The waitress served us warm towels and ice water. Very good service i must say. :)

We anxiously browsed through the menu and ordered our food(HUNGRY!!). Bee ordered the Shio(RICH) ramen and i ordered the Pork bone base with scorched sesame and garlic oil seasoning Ramen.

Order placed. Now waiting anxiously for their Ramen...

After waiting for about 10mins, our noodles arrived. The noodles looks like those we eat at Ajisen. As for taste wise, it taste like "La Mian".

Mine:

Pork bone base with scorched sesame and garlic oil seasoning Ramen.

Out of curiosity, i asked the waitress about the origin of the noodles and i am pleased to know that the noodles are freshly made by the boss. :) How nice!

As the 2 boys shared a bowl of noodles(obviously not enough), they ordered one more bowl of double noodles!

As for me, i ordered another plate of yummy char siew.
$3 for 5 pieces.

I was quite tempted to order the char siew rice($5) but i overheard the kitchen staff telling the waitresses to stop taking orders for rice item. No more rice for the afternoon. :( Guess i'll have to keep that for the next session.

Overall, the food there is not too bad. For people who have not been to Japan but want to have a taste of it, can go down. Prices are reasonable and service is excellent.

Looking back... 2009.

Year 2010 is the year of Tiger.(Not exactly now but in another 1 month time) Looking back at 2009, I would say that i had an adventurous year. Starting of 2009, i resigned my job from Canon Singapore. It was a tough decision to make but necessary. Q2 of year 2009, i started OneStop Consulting. A debt counselling and consultation firm. Aim at helping people with debt/credit card/bankruptcy problem at a lower price and faster processing. At the same time, went back into propoerty. Was quite active in Yishun doing rental. Closed a few cases but definitely not enough for my family.

So, i had to go back to the corporate world again. Joined my current company(leaving soon) in Q3. At first, everything was fine but as i progressed on... things were not what i expected. Towards Q4, my working pace slowed down... Partly also due to my England trip. :p

Well, november was a great month. Went to England and had lots of fun there.(Hubby was working there). Well, after the trip, job search continues and i manage to get myself a good offer. At least, something comforting to know. :)

I am actually serving my notice period now. Doing nothing or rather, doing things like pasting stamp and surf net. At the same time, update my blog as well. :p

Second Korea BBQ attempt at home sweetest home

Today marks our second Korean BBQ attempt at home. It sounds really crazy to do it at home because of the aftermath. All the cleaning and scrubbing! The previous round, i had a pretty hard time scrubbing the grill pan. But i just can't forget the tasty pork belly and the load of BBQ foods. So, here we are... trying for the second time. But before that we had to go down to NTUC at AMK Hub to shop for the ingredients as well as some daily necessities.

Today we went down to find Eric and Johnny because we were craving for the porridge behind their shop. But at the same time, can chit chat a little and catch up with them.

After lunch, JiA and I went back to the shop to accompany aunty. Talked to her about somethings(which i will be blogging). I think that both me and her are quite like-minded. Because of the things we do, say and of course, thinking. I enjoy talking to herbecause she teaches me a lot of things that are out of the textbook. :)

My Baby Boy is going to school~

Technically, he is going there to play! But i think that sending him to playground is a good chance for him to mingle with fellow kids of his age. At the saeme time, he can learn to be more independent. Daddy enrolled him to a playgroup near Susan's place. Just across the road from her block. I was a bit hesitant because i am pretty skeptical about such neighbourhood playgroup/playschool. I wanted to send him to Pat's School House or Little Skool House at OCC but that means JiA will have to take bus everyday.

THAT IS SO INCONVENIENT!

So, i agreed to let him join the neighbourhood playgroup. The school fee is $150/month. On the first day of his school, i wasn't around because we enrolled him very last minute. So for the first day of his school, he wore home clothes. He had no problem coping with the senior kids. Some of the kids cried and JiA looked at them weirdly. Haha. :)

The first day photos were taken by Bee. He MMSed me from time to time because he knows that i am worried. It is like twitter updates with pictures!!! :)

Second day of school~

I actually stayed in his school for the whole 2 hours session because i wanted to see what will JiA be doing daily. Actually, nothing much. Just play and sing songs. In between, they get to have some snacks like bread, biscuits and etc. The assistant teachers were telling me that JiA looks ok and one of them even commented that he can dance pretty well. -_-!!
I wanted to tell her that JiA listens to Michael Jackson's songs everyday! haha! :)

When the clock strikes 10.50am, the teachers will prepare for the kids to go home. They were asked to line up in front of the door and the teachers will distribute their bags. After that, the teachers will start off the goodbye songs. One of it is the numeric song that counts from 1 to 10. So when the counting reaches 5, JiA shout it out loudly and show his Hi5 to the teacher. -__-!!

Then after school, he actually said bye-bye to his friends. Such a sweet boy~ :) And so far, no complains from Susan or the teachers. Hope that he can get to learn something there. :)

Yesterday was a bad bad day for me.
3 irritating PESTS/BASTARDS/HORRIBLE/DIRTY THINGS made me unhappy.

Till this morning, i was still a bit unhappy.

Don't know why Bee suddenly told that he will want to have 1 more kid with me after we are very much settled down. Maybe its because i told him that i will not give birth anymore UNLESS he request for another baby. Because i don't want him to tell people that its me who WANTS another kid. :) Or maybe, he was trying to cheer me up. Sometimes, he really knows how to look at my face and say things to make me happy.

I will be happy because, AT LEAST HE TRIES and not just leave me down there with a black face.

BUT, we have not packed our clothes. haha.

We will be packing our luggage tonight. Not bringing much clothings as we are reserving space for our shopping goods. I will most probably be getting stuffs from....

And, we will also be getting our rings at Tiff & Co.

BUT, the most interesting thing is that we will be visiting the Mitchelin Starred restaurants.

Hello Everyone! A very good morning to you...
Last week was JiA's Bird-Day and we had a mini celebration for him at Trader's Hotel.
We invited our close friends like Eric & Wife, Johnny, Aunty(their mummy), Amos & family and my parents in-laws. It was a great event.

The mixed pastries consist of cheesecakes(store signature), fruit tarts, chocolate truffle cakes, carrot cakes, cream puffs and eclairs. Looks YUMMY!!!

It's raining, it's pouring....

This is the 3rd time of the day and i believe, it will rain tonight and midnight.
What a wet wet year end.

I am seated comfortably on my office chair with the super strong air-con blowing above me.
I wrapped myself up with the shawl that Helena gave me years ago.
Since then, i had been using it like a blanket when i am out.

Yesterday was a bad day for me.
OPS meeting was shit.
Client was shitty.
Boss was shitty too.

I am seriously considering quitting my job but i am holding on till next year.
I kept telling myself that next year is just a few months away...
"Bear with it, Rach!"

SIGH...

Most importantly, my family keeps me going.
My Darling Bee and my Baby JiA.
Everytime when work hits a rough patch, i will usually look at their photos on my mobile or my PC.
Looking at their smile makes my day brighter. (shoo dark clouds...)
Looking at them sleeping so comfortably at night makes me feel that everything is worth it.

People must be thinking if i really do have such a wonderful and perfect family.
Yes, i do. My family is wonderful, marriage is blissful and an almost perfect(not 100%) family.
And WHY?

Reason is simple.
My husband and I will always compromise.
My husband does not like to do houseowork.
So i'll do it. I do complain(a lot of times) about it but in the end, i'll still do it.
When i complain that i am tired after sweeping and mopping(and many other housework!)....
He will ask me not to cook and he will bring the whole family out for a meal.
At the restaurant, he will let me eat while he will eat and feed JiA.
This shows that he will NEVER allow me to go HUNGWEE~ aka HUNGRY~

When i am having my PMS, he will normally NAG lesser and leave me alone.
During the times when i scold my son, he will keep quiet and let me do the job.
If there are things that he wants to comment, he will find the right time to talk.

We will discuss and get opinions on many things in life.
And that includes purchases, outings and etc.

Another important factor is Sex Life... Always keep it active and alive.
As for ours(me & hus), so far so good. No complains. :D

Michael Jackson - "This Is It" Movie

Good morning. Yesterday night, i went for the "This Is It" Movie. It was really good and during movie, i almost cried. I saw his effort in organising the concert from start to the end. I believe strongly that it will be the concert of the year. Or even, best concert of the lifetime...

We brought JiA into the cinema because Susan went overseas. After the movie, we went down to KPO to meet up with Fred and company.

JiA came along too! His first movie and clubbing experience.

Pak-Tor Part 1

28th August is suppose to be our "pak-tor" day but we decided to bring JiA along.
This weekly "pak-tor" thingy is planned by both me and Bee so that we can spend some time together.

We decided to drop by- Brazil Churrascaria at Sixth Avenue.
This is the famous "All-Meat" buffet in Singapore.
But actually, it is not really ALL meat.
They do have a salad bar sitting at the center of the restaurant.
Everything is free flow(except drinks)!!
On average, a 2pax buffet dinner will cost about SGD100.
And, that is if you never order any drink.
We normally take iced-water.

Hello, i am back again. So sorry for the late updates. Had been busy with work and CaveFamily stuffs. Recently(02/09), I attempted the fried carrot cake(white) and the taste was ok. Below are some of the pictures. Not very well taken as my camera was on SUPER LOW battery mode. :(

Last last week, Bee had a craving for my CKT. So i went downstairs to get some kway teow. As usual, i'll always get 1kg kway teow and a piece of fishcake. Accompanied by the use of my favourite Tefal wok and a SPOON(yes, normal eating spoon), i present to you the one and only famous CaveFamily homecook "Charrrr Kwayyyyy Teoowwww"!

Let me share the secret recipe with you!

Ingredients Needed:
-500g of Kway Teow

-1 piece of fishcake

-Handful of chives
(if you don't like, can add other veggies)

-3 eggs. (please beat the eggs)
-Chilli Sambal

-Fish Sauce

-Fragrance Scallop Stock
(Pre-Prepared)

-Minced Garlic

-Hotdogs

-LARD!
(Can omit if you don't like)
-Cockles

(Can omit if you don't like)

Steps:

1. Heat up your wok with a tablespoon of oil.

2. Once the oil is heated up, put in your fishcake and fry till golden brown.

3. Add in your kway teow and and about 3 table spoon of fish sauce.

4. Fry till fragrance.

5. Cut a hole in the center of the kway teow and add in the beaten eggs.

6. Remember to turn to low heat at this time.

7. Then, toss the kway teow and the eggs together evenly.

8. Turn to high heat and add in the scallop stock + Chilli Sambal

9. Fry quickly and before the kway teow turns dry,
cut a hole in the middle and add in the lard oil and minced/chopped garlic.

10. Fry for about 10 seconds and your CKT is ready to be served.

TADAH!!

Served in a chinese traditional bowl. Its just so...."Uh La LAAA!"

Fyi, the CaveFamily only eat the white and salty kind of CKT. So if you are into the sweet one, remember to add a bit of sweet sauce after procedure 9. Do not fry for too long as the sweet sauce will become bitter. Hope you have enjoyed this episode of the post. Have fun!

Good morning.

I was drafting an entry about "Friends" but sad to say, i will save the draft first before publishing it. I just feel editing it when i am at home and add some pictures to it. So, stay tune.

Last week friday, i meet up with Liyan and her BF, Anson at Raffles City. We went to "Ya Kun" for coffee and chatted for about 1 hour. She kept commenting that she looks ugly on her new hairstyle and i had to assure her that she looks ok. Sometimes, i do think that she is too concern about her looks and it gets a bit extreme. I wonder is it because of the lack of security in her or is it because her expectations on herself is too high?

Sometimes, i am also very concern about my looks and i love to put on make up. There was once when i couldn't find my fake lashes and i was very angry. So in a fit of anger, i told my hus that i don't want to go work. As usual, he got angry and told me off. After thinking for a while, i find that what he said was true. Because without my fake lashes, i can apply mascara and curl it myself. He also told me to buy a few spare sets in case of incidents like this.

And i followed suit. :)

Dipping Day!

Bright Sunday Morning... Dipping, here we comes!

The CaveFamily went for a cold cold swim.
It was 8+ in the morning.
The 0.45m pool was filled with only 2-4 kids.

JiA was very excited about the swim.
He sat by the pool side with me and i began throwing water at him.

He found it very fun.
After getting used to the water temperature, it's time to get into the water.

So i slowly put him into the 0.45m pool and Bee was surprised that JiA can stand by himself.

JiA was very happy.

Bee was complaining that the water was too cold.

So, he went over to the deep(Adult) pool to warm up.

After Bee warmed up, i left him and JiA there and i went to fetch the camera over.

Bee was a bit unhappy with me taking pictures because he is scare that my camera will get wet.
Well, this is the only camera we have at home. :)
Anyway, i thought extra care in handling the camera as i don't want him to NAG at me. :p

After the swim, we went to Old Airport Road for lunch.
Had the usual Kway Chap, CKT and fish soup.
After that, went to 800+ NTUC to buy some stuffs.

For Dinner, we had fried chicken thigh cubes/chicken wings
and Mushroom+Seafood cream soup with extra Shitake Mushrooms!

The dinner was jointly prepared by myself and Bee.
I appreciate his help and i am really lucky to have him as my partner.
(Though at times, he can be VERY NAGGY! Hehe..)

He had actually changed a lot.(according to his mum)
As far as i could remember, he was a frequent traveller.
Remember last week, i was still telling him that i used to see him 1 week every month.
And he asked "WHY"?
So i told him that he was always out-stationed.
He laughed it off and told me that he is with me now. :)
Yeah Silly boy, of course i know.

My husband, has transformed.
From a late night Lar Kopi with friend GUY to a homely GUY.
From a frequent traveller via plane to a sg expressway driver via car
(his beloved silver shark!)
From a stock market fan to an online gaming fan(FREE!).

Keong Saik Road Roasted Delights

Both Gen and I had the roasted food again. Yes, AGAIN. We ordered our usual "you ji hor fun" and mixture of char siew and roasted pork. Very nice! Actually, i feel that their "you ji" is so much better than the Chinatown one. We spent less than $10 for everything. Here are some of the pictures that i took...

Lunch @ Tanjong Pagar Market

Today Gen and I had the "special" fried bee hoon from the old stall. At first, i was pretty turn off by the "No Pork, No Lard" sign. Can all these fried bee hoon/noodles go without the yummy pork bones stock? Or without the crispy artery-bursting LARDS? God.-i thought to myself.

But nevertheless, i decided to give it a shot. Ordered the smallest portion($3.50). There were ingredients like squid aka sotong, prawns, sliced fishcakes and vegetables. The uncle was quite generous with his servings. Waited for about 5mins and finally....

The Special Fried Bee Hoon is READY!!!!!!

I realise that this uncle actually uses 2 kinds of stock. One i would presume is chicken soup and the other one is definitely prawn stock. Overall, not too bad. The combination of the stock taste good.

For $3.50, you'll get quite a generous amount of squids, 3x Medium size prawns, fishcakes, eggies and a mountain of bee hoon. Its very worthwhile!

Next on the menu is "Annie Peanut Ice Kachang"!

Ice with coloring topped with red beans, corn, peanuts and condensed milk. Yummy!!!! Gen and I shared this. After that, we took a slow walk back to office. (:

A very last minute decision

Yes, we made this decision at around 4+pm during our MSN chat. We reached there around 7.30pm and there were quite a number of tables having the steamboat buffet. It is about $18.80+++ steamboat buffet with free flow of drinks. The only limitation is that each pax can only have 100g(= 3 medium size) prawns. But it is ok as we are not the prawn kind of person.

This is the menu. We ordered 2 soups, Pork bone and Clear soup.

One thing i must say, the prawns are REALLY FRESH!

I suspect the meat balls are hand made as the texture is different from those that we always eat.

My dinner. Very yummy!

The total bill is about $44 and we were the last customer for steamboat. Everything was ok except that the soup becomes a bit salty towards the end. So what i recommend is to ask the waitress to add some hot water into the soup. We are going to have it again on wednesday. with Mum. YIPPEE!!!!

Eric & Wendy Housewarming

Yesterday night, the CaveFamily went down to Toa Payoh for Eric & Wendy's housewarming. His home is situated at Toa Payoh Central road. That site used to be some very old HDB flats but it was subsequently bought over by HDB for new development plans. I always tell Bee that these 4 blocks are the most outstanding blocks in TPY estate as it is quite visible when driving along CTE.

For this outing, i did not take any photos as i forgot to bring out the camera.

What a pity! !!

Anyway, i believe that there will be plenty of chance for the CaveFamily to drop by. Right, back to the event. When i reached there, the place was already quite crowded. The sure-will-invite HFDA group was there plus some of his relatives. Bee was busy talking to the HFDA people as he had not seen them for a long time. As for me, i was talking to Angeline(Sean's GF). She is a very nice lady with a lot of thoughts on her mind. I just can't help but to feel sorry for her at all times. Ultimately, i hope that times for her will improve.

We reached Yishun at about 11pm and bought supper from 848. I slept at around 1.30am as I had to do some stuffs for my customer. *Yawnz*...

I am so sleepy NOW! You know why? Because of this.....

YEAH, this is the famous yummy roasted goodie at Keong Saik Road. Very nice but a bit expensive to have for daily lunch. Gen's treat. Thank you babe! Alright, i am heading back to work. See ya!

Dallas Chicken & Mac Seaweed Fries

Tonight we went to Dallas Chicken for supper. I am very disappointed by the food quality. The standard had dropped. The chickens were not crispy and they actually increased the price a little. I can understand and afford the price increase but i cannot figure why the quality drop so much. Bee and I will not go there anymore.

After the disappointing dinner, we went to Khatib Mac for out 2nd round. Ordered the double filet burger and the shake shake seaweed fries! YUMS....

NBPS basketball girls outing + late night KTV

Recently, i had been busy with my work and family matters(as usual). Today, i went for NBPS basketball girls meet up.

I still remember the days where all of us will joke and gossip about each other. Sometimes, i do miss the good old days. But nevertheless, i am still happy to see them. We stayed at Cafe Cartel till 10pm and took some photos outside PS.

After that, the five of us(Bee, Liyan, JingWen, Jia and I) went to the PartyWorld at Yung Ching(it is correct?) road. Per pax is about $25 for a 3 hour session with 2 drinks, fruits and tibits included.

Towards the end of the session, Jia fell asleep! Hah, as expected by Bee.
We ended our night at around 2.30am... Wanted to go for supper but all of us were pretty tired. So we headed home instead. Another reason for cancelling the supper date is because..... I have an early morning(9am) hair appointment tomorrow! That one is a MUST go! My hair is super long and messy. Cannot stand it anymore.

This morning we went to Simpang Bedok to have the famous Jalan Tua Kong "Mee Pok". The nice thing about this noodles is the chilli and the soup. Behind the noodles stall, there is another crispy "yong tau foo" stall which is also quite nice. I ordered mee pok dry for myself, kway teow soup for Jia and mee hoon noodles soup for Bee. The wait was about 35 minutes.

Well, i did not take any pictures of the food as i was very hungry. All 3 of us digged into our food as soon as it arrives. After that, we went home and started our spring cleaning! It all started because Bee was looking for his windscreen wiper BUT he could not find it. He was damn frustrated(looks cute!). We cleared off loads of unwanted stuffs like outdated letters, Jia's spoilt toys, old mags and lots more. Finally, our house is clean and neat.

As i was too tired to fix dinner, Bee decided to bring me out for dinner. We went to Romano at Upper Thomson area. They serve good Italian food at reasonable price. My all time fav is their parma ham pizza and the spag di romano! This time round, i ordered the mixed fried seafood, Alfredo Fettucine with Ham plus Mushroom and my Parma Ham pizza. Loves!

Yesterday night after dinner at Northpoint, we were walking around basement 1 for snacks as i wasn't very full. Then, we chanced upon this $10 express cut salon and Bee suggested that he wants to trim his hair.(Since the last trim was a few weeks ago) I accompanied him into the shop and we saw 2 kiddy rides at one corner. Bee suggested that i put Jia on one of the rides. BUT, i am scared that he will fall down and the most important thing is that i scare the salon never sterillize the rides.

Both of them gave me a grumpy look.

Well, i thought to myself... Probably i should let go at times and relax. So, i put him on the red train and to my surprise, he enjoyed it VERY MUCH! He was turning the steering wheel and seriously, he look like a semi-qualified driver. He was doing hand over hand turning... stepping on the accelerator(acting) and..... he was looking for his GEARS! :) Best part, he was trying to make the engine/exhaust sound while driving! whaha. Damn cute!

Instead of standing there and look at him play, i decided to TAKE PHOTOS! =)

Accident along Cantonment Road

One fine afternoon(15 July09), i was happily doing up my proposal
then.....

I heard a LOUD "BANG" and a woman screamed out "AH!!!"

The next moment, i saw 2 cars parked along the side of the road. I believe the car shown in the picture above is a Nissan Sunny while the other one I can confirm is a Toyota Altis(as shown in the picture). The lady(aunty) driver came out of her Sunny and she was in a state of shock! The male driver and came out of his Altis and started to quarrel with the aunty.

Shortly, the police(normal + TPs) and ambulance came.

The ambulance took the aunty to hospital and the male driver was there talking to the police. Tow truck came and towed the 2 badly hitted cars away. The traffic there was CHAOS!!!

As usual, we will go down to BVCC for basketball. This is an outdated picture of my darling boy drinking water and watching his father dunk!(whahaa!)

After that, we went down to Sam Huat for lunch. Had our fav "Da Lian" noodles and catch up a little with Eric, Johnny and aunty. Haven't seen them for a long time. Kinda miss the good old times when me and aunty will chat while the boys are outside having coffee/smoking.

12th July 2009 Sunday

Woke up at about 9.15am because of JIA! He is really an early bird. Can sleep at 11pm and wake up at 7am!!! Actually, he bugged me from 9am to 9.15am because he wants MILK. So i woke up and prepared 1 bottle of his fav "Gain IQ". While he was happily drinking, Bee and i decided to go Old Airport Rd Hawker for breaky.

When we reached there, we were shocked to see the "To-Ricos Kway Chap" queue. It was SUPER LONG lor! But the crave for this yummy kway chap is too strong. So no choice, QUEUE lor.

But before i queue, i bought a plate of my fav "Dong Ji" char kway teow.

Althought i haven't had it for a long time, the taste is still the same!! Very YUMMY!
Alright, back to To-Ricos... I queued for 45 mins before i get to talk to the aunty. Mr "To-Ricos" in picture.

Then waited for about 10 mins for the food to arrive. This is awesome!

After we finish our makan, we proceed straight home. Too tired from the standing and JIA fell asleep on Bee's arms. :)

A year older is A level wiser!

I am officially 23! Another year older, another level wiser. :)

Yesterday, Bee brought me and Nicholas to "Indian Times" at Big Splash. Grills, fine wines and great experience! We did not have any wine as Nicholas was around and he was super ACTIVE! He walked around the table bare footed. Hah!, trademark of the cave family genes.

Anyway, the Tandoori Chicken Kebab is really very YUMMY! Especially when it is pipping hot. They have other sticks like button mushroom, small potatoes and even fish. Service there is excellent and the waiters are very friendly. The buffet spread is pretty limited with the usual stuffs like chicken curry, mutton curry, veggie curry and the super sweet desserts. Nothing much special.

For this year's birthday, Bee bought me a new handphone. Love it to bits :) I have also started using the Gucci wallet that he bought for me. Sweet!

Lastly, my wish for this year is to make more money and to give both my love ones a better live. I promise myself that i must work harder for the coming months and make my dreams come true. My house and my plans. Work hard! Yaberrr Deberrr Doooooo!!!
