Last last week, Bee had a craving for my CKT. So i went downstairs to get some kway teow. As usual, i'll always get 1kg kway teow and a piece of fishcake. Accompanied by the use of my favourite Tefal wok and a SPOON(yes, normal eating spoon), i present to you the one and only famous CaveFamily homecook "Charrrr Kwayyyyy Teoowwww"!
Let me share the secret recipe with you!
Ingredients Needed:
-500g of Kway Teow
-1 piece of fishcake
-Handful of chives
(if you don't like, can add other veggies)
-3 eggs. (please beat the eggs)
-Chilli Sambal
-Fish Sauce
-Fragrance Scallop Stock
(Pre-Prepared)
-Minced Garlic
-Hotdogs
-LARD!
(Can omit if you don't like)
-Cockles
(Can omit if you don't like)
Steps:
1. Heat up your wok with a tablespoon of oil.
2. Once the oil is heated up, put in your fishcake and fry till golden brown.
3. Add in your kway teow and and about 3 table spoon of fish sauce.
4. Fry till fragrance.
5. Cut a hole in the center of the kway teow and add in the beaten eggs.
6. Remember to turn to low heat at this time.
7. Then, toss the kway teow and the eggs together evenly.
8. Turn to high heat and add in the scallop stock + Chilli Sambal
9. Fry quickly and before the kway teow turns dry,
cut a hole in the middle and add in the lard oil and minced/chopped garlic.
10. Fry for about 10 seconds and your CKT is ready to be served.

Served in a chinese traditional bowl. Its just so...."Uh La LAAA!"

Fyi, the CaveFamily only eat the white and salty kind of CKT. So if you are into the sweet one, remember to add a bit of sweet sauce after procedure 9. Do not fry for too long as the sweet sauce will become bitter. Hope you have enjoyed this episode of the post. Have fun!
